Twit-Ku: My Stab at Twitter Haiku

Posted on July 22, 2009

Picture 20I read a tweet once that said, “Twitter’s not better than sex, but sliced bread had better watch out!”

That’s overstated of course, and I think the jury’s still out.

I am still doing my own 12-month analysis of Twitter, as it applies to small business strategy (both my own and that of my clients).  Along the way, I just can’t help but to poke fun.

These 8 haikus are just my random thoughts from a light afternoon.  Enjoy.

Numbers 6 and 8 are especially brilliant.

    Yep. Brilliant as usual!
    Here’s my stab at a Twit-book-Space Haiku:

    Packaging replaces content
    Distraction instead of use
    Sound and apathy signaling extinction

    Trivial and trite
I sell my habits for free
    pay my pimp with attention

Besides those sentiments, I really do see great potential for social networking as it relates to the concepts of “tribes” elegantly explained by Seth Godin.
    Cheers!

    Ok just one more:

    I have no direction
    but that which curiosity gives.
I sail in digital circles yapping full voice

No idea you had that in you! You’re like the Robert Frost of business strategy.
