Be Yourself Part II – Is Your Mission Invalid?

“Be yourselfBe Yourself

There’s no one who does it quite like you.

Be no one else,

‘Cause if you don’t, then who is going to?”

- Kevin Max

I’m one of many who believes we all have a calling.  Our DNA is purposefully woven together for a specific thing to do here on the planet.

You agree with me.  OK.  But as Morpheus declared in the movie, The Matrix, the rabbit hole goes much deeper.

You calling – whatever it may be – needs some qualification. If you believe you’re called to be or do something, you must discover what it is, and why you are uniquely qualified to complete the mission.  But there’s a major disqualification that can happen if you haven’t considered the most important thing.

In my humble opinion, I believe anyone’s calling can only be valid relative to the people it helps.  In other words, unless your calling serves others, it is invalid.

This is great evidence for becoming an “anthropologist” of those you serve best.  Who are they?  Where are they?  How are they?  How do they think?  What are they looking for?  What do they need?

Answer these to validate your mission.  The people you serve are waiting for you.  If you don’t, who will?
